Nearly 195 million salmon were harvested in Alaska’s 2025 season, an 88% increase from the 2024 total harvest of 103.5 million fish.
The value of the 2025 commercial salmon harvest for all species was valued at approximately $541 million,compared to $304 million in the 2024 season. The 2025 statewide average price per pound paid to fishermen for all salmon species improved from 2024 values.

Chinook salmon – $6.40 — Sockeye – $1.17 — Coho – $1.41 — Pink – $.30 —- Chum – $.80
