Salmon landings near 1.5 million, led by Kodiak, AK Peninsula

Alaska’s total 2022 salmon catch is projected at 160.6 million fish. That is down nearly 32% FROM THE 2021 catch of nearly 235 million salmon.

AK halibut catches tracking with 2021 pace

Alaska halibut landings were nearing 6m fish. Leading ports for landings are Homer, Seward and Sitka.

Alaska’s halibut catch limit for 2022 is 21.51 million pounds, a nearly 10% increase over last year.
