Pacific halibut fishing removals increased for 2022

The International Pacific Halibut Commission today set the 2022 total removal limit at 41.22 million pounds.

The limit is up from 39 million pounds in 2021, 36.60 million pounds in 2020 and 38.61 in 2019.For Alaska, all regions except for Southeast will see increased catch limits. The fishery will run from March 6- December 7.
